Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Patrimony School collects, uses, and protects information when you use patrimonyschool.com and app.patrimonyschool.com. Because we knowingly collect information from children under 13 (student accounts created by a parent or teacher), we comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

1. Who we are

Patrimony School provides a faith-based online education platform including video courses, scheduling, graded assessments, and family/classroom management tools.

2. Accounts: parents/teachers and students

Adults create their own accounts. Student accounts are created by a parent or teacher, who provides verifiable consent before any student profile is activated. Students do not create their own accounts.

3. Information we collect

  • From adults: name, email, hashed password, billing info (handled by our payment processor — we don't store full card numbers), and account activity.
  • From or about students: first name/display name, grade, assigned courses & schedule, lesson progress, submissions and scores, and transcript records — only what's needed to deliver and grade the education.
  • Automatically: device/browser, IP, and usage analytics to operate and improve the service. We do not use student data for behavioral advertising and do not sell personal information.

4. How we use information

  • Deliver courses, schedules, grading, transcripts, and dashboards.
  • Send transactional messages (sign-in confirmation, low-score alerts, weekly summaries) and, with consent, occasional updates.
  • Operate, secure, and improve the platform; process payments; comply with law.

5. COPPA — parents' and teachers' rights

For children under 13, the supervising adult may at any time review the information collected, request its deletion, refuse further collection (by closing the student account), and consent to collection without agreeing to unrelated third-party disclosure. Contact privacy@patrimonyschool.com; we honor verified requests within 30 days and retain student data only as long as needed for the educational purpose or as required by law.

6. How we share information

Only with service providers acting on our behalf under contract, and only to run the platform: hosting/database, payments, email, analytics, and AI generation/grading. We do not sell personal information or use student data for targeted advertising. We may disclose information to comply with law or protect safety.

7. AI-assisted features

Some assignments and grading are generated or scored with AI to produce educational feedback. Submissions are not used to train third-party advertising models.

8. YouTube and YouTube API Services

Our lesson videos are hosted on YouTube and embedded in the platform with the official YouTube player. Patrimony School also uses YouTube API Services as an internal publishing tool to manage our own channel's content (titles, descriptions, thumbnails, playlists, and publish settings). By using pages with embedded YouTube videos, you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

  • What we access and store: our API use touches only our own channel's videos. We store the public video IDs and publish state of our own lessons so courses stay linked to the right videos. We do not collect, store, or process any viewer's YouTube account data through the API.
  • Authorized access & revocation: our publishing tool is authorized against our own Google account. Anyone who has granted a Google-connected app access can review or revoke it at any time via Google security settings.
  • Deletion: stored video IDs/publish state are deleted when the associated course content is removed; other data-deletion requests are honored as described in Sections 5 and 10.

9. Security & retention

We use industry-standard safeguards (encryption in transit, access controls, row-level security). No system is perfectly secure. We delete data on verified request or account closure.

10. Your regional rights

EU/UK users and residents of certain U.S. states may have additional rights (access, correction, deletion, portability, objection). Contact us to exercise them.

11. Changes

We may update this policy and will update the date above; material changes affecting children's data will be notified to the supervising adult.
