Accessibility Statement

Patrimony School is committed to making our website (patrimonyschool.com) and our learning platform (app.patrimonyschool.com) usable by as many people as possible, including people who rely on assistive technology. Education is a household inheritance meant for everyone, and that conviction extends to how we build.

Our standard

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the standard most widely referenced under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). We treat this as an ongoing commitment rather than a one-time project.

What we do

  • Semantic page structure with clear headings, landmarks, and a “skip to content” link.
  • Keyboard operability throughout, with a visible focus indicator on links, buttons, and form fields.
  • Text and interface colors chosen to meet AA contrast ratios on our parchment-and-gold theme.
  • Descriptive alternative text for meaningful images, and decorative graphics hidden from screen readers.
  • Labeled form controls, and respect for the “reduced motion” setting.
  • A responsive layout with full navigation available on phones, tablets, and desktops.

Ongoing work

Accessibility is never finished. We continue to review new pages and features — including the parent, student, tutor, and co-op areas of the app — and to correct issues as we find them or as they are reported to us. Some third-party or embedded content (for example, YouTube video players) follows its provider’s own accessibility support.

Reporting a barrier

If you encounter any part of Patrimony School that is difficult to use with assistive technology, or that you believe falls short of WCAG 2.1 AA, please tell us. Email accessibility@patrimonyschool.com with the page address, a description of the problem, and the assistive technology or browser you were using. We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within five business days and to work with you on an accessible alternative while we resolve the underlying issue.
